MEMORIAL DAY—May 28, 2012

A gift in memory of a family member or friend will light a candle during the worship services on Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday evening May 26th & Sunday morning May 27th.

As each candle is lit, a name will be read in loving memory. A ten dollar offering will light a “Memorial Candle” for one service. When filling out the form below, you must indicate which service you wish to have your candle lit. The deadline for forms to be turned in is May 20th.

The Memorial Candle offering will be

donated to FUMC Food Pantry

You are invited to participate in this tradition. It is one way to honor a loved one  on this holiday and help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ as well.

Pastor’s Corner:

Following the presentation of the 5 Prescriptions on Sunday, April 29, 2012, we are required to hold 3 Town Hall Meetings within 45 days, for learning and discussion.

All church members are welcome to attend any or all of the Town Hall Meetings. At these Town Hall Meetings you can listen and ask questions. HCI Self Study Guidance Team will guide the discussions.

Following the service and fellowship dinner on June 3, 2012 church members will vote “yes or no” on the 5 prescriptions. If we agree to the 5 prescriptions, the Conference will supply at no cost a certified coach to work with the church and the pastor to help find ways to fulfill the 5 prescriptions. We have 18 months to fulfill the 5 prescriptions with the aid of a coach.
